Puzzle Design

Tilt Puzzle First Iteration

A ball would be dropped by the yellow cylinder and the player would use their horizontal input to control the rotation of the platforms. The goal would be to get the ball into the green area.
Changes
Vertical platforms were added to add more complexity. The end point of the puzzle was also moved away from the way to add more skill involvement.
Tilt Puzzle Implementation
Wall Puzzle First Iteration

A ball dropped from the yellow cylinder would either land on the blue and red box, or the green and blue box. The corresponding colored rectangles would then invert their gravity.
Changes
An extra red rectangle was added to the end. This way the player would have to go back to the red and blue box once more rather than just hitting the green twice in a row.
Wall Puzzle Implementation
Drop Puzzle First Iteration

A ball would be dropped by the yellow cylinder and the player would have to put balls in each area. The number of balls dropped in each area would correlate to the number of sides on each shape.
Changes
Colored tables will yellow balls were added to a different area of the map. The number of balls on each colored table would show how many balls would need to be in each area.

Reflection
This project helped me grow to be more organized, as I had to learn how to properly scope a game for a 2 month time period. This involved me setting up tasks on ClickUp and communicating with all teams to see their progress on their tasks. As a programmer I developed my skills learning how to develop simple puzzles that fit the "toy" section of our game. These puzzles were designed to be intuitive and have simple solutions that still made the player think.
